Mike Mason is one of those guys who simply can't picture his life without dirtbikes. When he was 11 years old, his dad, who is an avid rider himself, got Mason his first bike and he hasn't stopped riding since then.
The Suzuki rider from Nevada is like a machine in motocross and is developing a reputation as a free riding legend. After a couple of years on the Arenacross circuit, Mason decided to quit racing in 2004 and focus on his FMX and free riding skills with his buddy Dustin Miller, who already had his own large FMX park including a foam pit. Mike preferred visiting his friend's FMX park for practice rather than travelling long distances for the gruelling MX/SX racing championship. His FMX skills improved so fast that he finished third overall on the AST Dew Tour and he won a bronze medal at the 2005 X-Games.
In 2011, Mason finished 13th in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour, rounding out the season with a strong fourth place in Sydney. After taking a break between 2012 and 2014, the American will be looking to earn a wildcard spot and improve on previous results while keeping the crowds rocking with his signature breath-taking Rock Solids. If Speed & Style makes a return to Red Bull X-Fighters Mason will be the man to invite. The multiple gold medal winner simply has mad riding skills, he can do it all and not many can beat his unique style in a direct battle.
