The 50th event, insane action, frantic fans and a new champion

A sold-out crowd of 22,000 at Pretoria's historic Union Buildings cheered as an emotional Josh Sheehan was crowned the winner of history's 50th Red Bull X-Fighters event, as well as the 2014 World Tour Champion. The Australian continued the momentum he had built all year, giving a dominant performance at the first-ever World Tour final ever held in Africa. Record starter Dany Torres (ESP) claimed second place in Pretoria, with US rider Adam Jones in third.

In the dramatic season's final tally, Levi Sherwood (NZL) earned second place in the World Tour standings, and Dany Torres from Spain finished in third.
